Braille Braille is an alphabet consisting of raised dots to represent letters. It was developed by Louis Braille 150 years ago and is read by running the fingers across the page. Braille can be difficult to learn and takes determination. More recently an alphabet called moon has been developed. The symbols are larger and consist of embossed simplified versions of ordinary printed characters.
